Contract Title. Office Wifi System
- Background.
The United States Probation Office for the Middle District of Florida is replacing our existing office wifi system.
The proposed system will need to be a high-performance wireless and wired networking solution designed to enhance connectivity, security, and manageability across nine office locations within the Middle District of Florida. The system includes Wi-Fi 7 access points with advanced location-based services and centralized cloud-based management, alongside multi-gigabit switches providing PoE++ support for high-bandwidth devices.
Once deployed, this infrastructure will deliver robust and scalable wireless coverage, improved device management, and secure network access for staff and authorized users. The centralized subscription services and assurance plans ensure continuous updates, technical support, and proactive performance monitoring across all sites.
Deployment will occur at nine separate office locations, ensuring consistent performance and standardization across the district’s facilities. Licensing term should be for 36 months.

Additional Technical Requirements:
1. AI-Driven Operations (AIOps)
· Proactive Issue Detection & Resolution: machine learning to detect and fix issues before users notice them.
· Virtual Network Assistant: A conversational AI tool that allows IT teams to troubleshoot and get network insights using natural language.
· SLEs (Service Level Expectations): Rather than just showing raw metrics, KPIs like successful connect time, throughput, and roaming performance.
2. Cloud-Native Architecture
· Zero-touch provisioning and management: All APs can be managed from the cloud with minimal on-site configuration.
3. Location-Based Services (LBS)
· Virtual BLE (vBLE) Beacons: APs have an array of BLE antennas that can project Bluetooth "beacons" virtually without requiring physical battery-powered BLE beacons.
· High-Accuracy Indoor Location Services: Useful for wayfinding, asset tracking, contact tracing, etc.
